Most mattress are only partially "organic" and still treated with harmful fire chemicals or stuffed with polyester.
The cover is beautiful. So much so I was afraid to remove it from the plastic :). There was no smell when first removed from the package.
I will definitely purchase again for the next little one. (Although, I think this one has not as many springs as I would like. Next time I will probably opt for the one with 5oo coils...)
I believe this brand of mattresses are also available on ebay and with a little more info about the maker.
