Gocrib Portable Baby Travel Crib and Play Yard Reviews
13 of 13 people found the following review helpful Fabulous product!!, December 12, 2010 By GizmoMama (Northern VA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Gocrib Portable Baby Travel Crib and Play Yard (Baby Product) We purchased this after being disappointed in the Baby Bjorn travel crib, the Phil & Ted's traveller, and the Kidco Peapod. The Baby Bjorn is huge and must be checked(so it ends up costing more after just a few trips), the P&T's was made of noisy material that woke the baby, and the Peapod looks like a collapsible dog kennel. The GoCrib is fantastic!! Easy to set up, easy to take down. The baby sleeps beautifully in it!! Lightweight, but sturdy. You can move it all over easily when set up. What we love most? You can carry it on the airplane with you, no paying extra to check a crib, no worrying the airline will lose it because it's checked. It's compact and lightweight so it fits right in the overhead bin. If you are looking for an awesome travel crib solution this is what you want.
7 of 7 people found the following review helpful Awesome Product!, January 5, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Gocrib Portable Baby Travel Crib and Play Yard (Baby Product) Wish we came across this sooner. Initially bought our newborn a combo bassinet / travel crib from a popular manufacturer. Was nearly 25 lbs and a pain to take down and travel with. When we heard about the Guava GoCrib we ordered one immediately. To say that we are thrilled is an understatement. We hate cheap crap and this is NOT cheap crap. Its very well built from high end inflatable materials covered in a soft durable protective covering. Its fills in seconds with the supplied pump and the self sealing valves are fantastic. We are big in adventure sports and have a high end inflatable kayak. This reminds us of that, built to last, not a cheap inflatable. Very safe, and VERY packable. This blows the socks off the Bjorn travel crib and anything else we have seen.
4 of 4 people found the following review helpful must have for travelers!, January 2, 2011 By smalltownveg (NC) - See all my reviews This review is from: Gocrib Portable Baby Travel Crib and Play Yard (Baby Product) This is a fabulous travel crib. I wish I had known about this before I bought a pack n play. This crib is lightweight, unbelievably portable, easy to set up and easy to put away. It is sturdy and the zippered side allows me to nurse when the baby is having trouble falling asleep in a new environment. The only two things that bother me are: 1) The pump legstand is pretty cheap. We noticed it when first used it and then when we HAD to gate check it, we noticed the legstand was broken into several pieces! Thankfully the pump still works, but not sure why that piece is so flimsy? 2) Unlike the pnp, the mattress is fairly thin when inflated (which may be worth it given how easy it is to pack) and so close to the ground. We noticed the baby was cold whenever we had the gocrib on hardwood floors. This is fixable by putting the crib on a bed or bringing a thicker mattress pad, but it would be nice if the mattress had some support that allowed it to be an inch or two off the ground... Read more
